How to expect to replace your furnace or boiler

A forced air furnace has an expected life of twenty years (20yrs)  A residential forced hot water boiler has a life expectancy of 30 to 40 years depending on the amount of preventative maintenance that has been performed on the unit over the years. 

Regular maintenance of heating equipment will extend the life of a

heating appliance.

We recommend that when your forced air furnace reaches its 15th year, that you set aside money to replace it when it reaches its expected 20 year end.  Likewise for boilers, do the same when your boiler reaches the 25 year mark. .
